I have always wanted to try the Japanese food from Kin Shui Tei after hearing how good it is from VK. And finally, I got my chance to dine there last week. Located in the Tropicana Golf and Country Resort, Kin Shui Tei is a classy Japanese restaurant run by a Japanese chef. Three of the most important item that I must have in any Japanese restaurant would be Teriyaki Unagi (eel), Chawanmushi (steamed egg) and Miso soup. So I ordered Kin Shui Tei’s Teriyaki Unagi Set.
I think this picture speaks for itself. Not only it looks vibrant, the Teriyaki Unagi tastes really nice. I polished it off in a few minutes.
This set also comes with another favourite of mine, Salmon, Butter Fish, Tuna Sashimi.
VK ordered their Sashimi Set which comes with some assorted tempuras. He wasn’t impress with his Sashimi set as some of the sushis are not fresh. This is quite disappointing as he had better cut the last time.
Not only that, every set comes with a cup of chawanmushi and a bowl of salad. It wasn’t shown here because they forgot ours. We would have missed it if not for the chawanmushi that is missing on my list. The waitress wanted to compensate us with another bowl of salad but soon realised that they had also forgotten about it. Well, I do hope the management would pay more attention to this.
